Do You Know?
NATURAL FLAVORS
Breck Cookies do not contain any 'natural flavors' but only the purest source ingredients.

Do you know what 'natural flavors' are? They are not much different than 'artificial flavors' in that they may only have one miniscule drop of anything 'natural' and then often heavily processed by chemists using solvents and preservatives in order to trick you into 'thinking' you are getting a particular flavor. Yes!

There may be 100 different chemicals, preservatives and solvents within their 'flavoring' which they put into your food. One of the most common and prevalent is propylene glycol. This is what is used in antifreeze for your car, cosmetics and varied other products. "While not technically the flavor itself, solvent carriers like propylene glycol are often the largest component, making up 80–90% of the flavor mixture's volume!"

Over 60% of the baked goods in stores have 'natural flavors' in them — and that includes 'healthfood' stores such as Whole Foods, Mother's and Sprout's. It is the fourth most common ingredient listed on food labels, behind only water, salt and sugar.

They never tell you what is in them because — I suspect — [1] you would not know what most were, [2] it would scare you and [3] the list might be so long, it would not fit on the label.

So, while not required to tell you what is in it, they are actually deceiving you to make you 'think' you are ingesting something healthy — there is a scant difference from 'artificial flavors' in reality.

Breck Cookies do not — and never will — use any 'natural flavors' but only the purest source ingredients.

ORIGIN OF DESSERT

The word "dessert" comes from the French verb desservir, meaning "to clear the table," referring to the final course served after the main meal was cleared.
It entered English around the 17th century, originally describing this last course, with sweet dishes shifting to the end of the meal over time from earlier, savory-heavy main courses.

Hence, the original implies it was to be 'lighter' that the previous.

Breck Cookies are indeed 'light' — not built for fill, but for flavor, texture and delight. Having just enough flour to 'carry' the experience of flavor and texture, one need not pass up these as a dessert after a meal because they are too 'full.' With 'breck cookies' one need only room for about a 'breath of air.' So light, refreshing and enjoyable, you will likely say to yourself, "Just one more!"
